Overview

This beginner-friendly workshop introduces geoscientific machine learning using Julia and is designed for participants with no programming background.

Participants will set up the basics, train their first neural network, and get practical guidance on how to continue learning machine learning for geoscience after the session.

Workshop Description

Machine learning is becoming central to modern geoscience workflows, but getting started can feel overwhelming for newcomers. This session offers a practical entry point with a gentle, hands-on introduction to Julia programming and core ML concepts.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have trained a first neural network and will leave with clear next steps, tools, and learning resources to continue building ML skills for geoscientific applications.
